What To Do In Waco

Whether you’re grabbing a famous Cowboy Coffee from our favorite coffee shop down the road, chowing down on some incredible Texas BBQ, visiting Chip and Joanna Gaines’ market, or walking along the river in Cameron Park (the second largest municipal park behind Central Park), you will love your week in Waco! You will never get caught in traffic, eat great food, hardly have to look for parking, and never have to drive more than 10-15 minutes. However, you won’t exhaust all our city has to offer.

Where To Stay and Transportation

After you (possibly) fly directly into Waco, there are plenty of hotels and vacation rentals (VRBO, AirBnB) to stay at. There are also plenty of places to rent a car and you can also utilize Uber or Lyft. If you’d like to save money and stay with a host home, we’d love to try and connect you to a local church member. Also, if you’d like to pair up with another classmate on a rental car, you will have the opportunity to connect with one another before the course.

How To Pay

Your church would probably love to send you off for affordable training. After all, they benefit greatly when you are encouraged as a preacher and when you preach clear and compelling sermons. Consider asking your leadership and/or congregation if they would financially support your ongoing training and education.
